• The title of this episode is an obvious parody of the film Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
• Some of the photoshop images of Krusty show him as Neil Armstrong, the Solidiers at Iwo Jima, the person at Tiananmen Square and a guy in the background of a gangster shooting.
