- The episode title is probably a reference to the Sherlock Holmes novel and film The Seven-Per-Cent Solution.

- Princess Kashmir has black skin and brown hair in one scene.
- In one scene where Bart has his legs crossed and is sitting on the floor at the Simpsons' house, his shoes are missing (as in not been added to the frame).
