A title card is a piece of printed text edited into photographed action at various points in films, and at the beginning of television shows to show the title of the episode. The Simpsons uses title cards, mostly in "Treehouse of Horror" episodes.

- "The Telltale Head", the eighth episode of the first season, is the first episode to have a title card - the title being displayed in capitals.
- "Treehouse of Horror", the third episode of the second season's title card reads "The Simpsons Halloween Special", not the episode's official name.
- "Bart Gets Hit by a Car", the tenth episode of the second season, uses a title card, this time adding the episode number above the title of the episode.
- "Treehouse of Horror VI", the sixth episode of the the seventh season's title card reads "The Simpsons Halloween Special VI", not the episode's official name.
