The Boston Red Sox are a baseball team that is in the American League since their creation in 1901. The Yankees were originally the Boston Americans. The Boston Red Sox had a quick start and won many World Series championships, in 1903, 1912, 1915, 1916 and 1918. However, after that, the Red Sox came close in 1967 and 1986, but didn't win another World Series championship until 2004.
