Synopsis

"Comic Book Guy falls asleep during a Sci-Fi DVD marathon and dreams up three thrilling astronomical adventures. First, Bart is recruited by a battle school, where he and a ragtag crew of cadets are trained to fight an alien war. Then, Lisa finds herself set adrift in space when the satellite she is tethered to is destroyed by Krusty-themed space junk. Finally, no one is safe when Homer and yet another ragtag band of misfits become Protectors of the Planets."

Plot

Comic Book Guy is about to have his sci-fi DVD marathon, but before he starts to watch it he falls asleep. He starts dreaming about the worst group of criminals in the galaxy, Gmarge, Brat the Destroyer, Mute, Racket, and Barlord. They have been arrested by the police but they manage to escape. They find Barlord's spaceship and start to fly away. They are hit by a meteor, and it turns out that Supreme Intelligence Chalmers and Skinner the Accuser are playing extreme space croquet. They find out that their next target is the moon, which is Barlord's friend, and the group starting to fight them to save the moon. Mute defeats them by giving Chalmers a pollen attack. Brat decides to play some extreme space croquet, and hits Grampa's house. The group continue to travel through space.

While Dolph, Kearney, and Jimbo are shoplifting in the Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop, Comic Book Guy dreams that Bart is selected to join a group of space soldiers after he becomes one of the best players in Space Defender. Bart is sent to the training room, where he meets the other soldiers. They are split into two groups, and Lisa is the leader of the other one. The first mission is to get to the other side of a room without gravity. Bart's team makes it after he pays Moe to turn the gravity back on for a second. Bart becomes general because he won the war where cheating is fair. Bart's group is sent to war, and soon returns with the news that the war is over because the aliens sent other kids to fight, and they agreed with him that it was lame so they quit. The mayor declares the war over, and goes to get teenagers to hunt each other for sport.

Bart and Milhouse are painting Comic Book Guy's face while he dreams that Bart and Lisa are in space, fixing a satellite. Krusty is nearby, getting rid of dangerous Laffy Meal toys. They destroy their ship and Bart dies. Lisa survives and finds The Scottish Space Station, but doesn't understand how the control panel works. Bart appears as a ghost, and he and his new friend give her some tips about how she can manage the control panel. The tips are not so good, so Lisa just presses a button and travels back to Earth, where she lands on Grampa's house.

Comic Book Guy is still sleeping, and the writer decides not to wake him up because he looks too peaceful.
