"The Yellow Lotus" is the second episode of season 36 of The Simpsons and the seven-hundred and seventieth episode overall. It will air on October 6, 2024. The episode was written by Loni Steele Sosthand and directed by Rob Oliver. It guest stars Kelsey Grammer as Sideshow Bob.[1][2][4]
Synopsis
- "The Simpsons encounter death on vacation at a high-end resort.[7]"
Mike Reiss and his wife Denise will appear as cameos in the background in a flashback. The episode is canon.[8][9][10]
Production
Originally "The Beautiful Shame" had a production code 35ABF08.[11] However, in January of 2024 "The Yellow Lotus" script was read with this code,[1] while "The Beautiful Shame" was postponed.[12]
