Springfield Babies is a Bart Simpson story first printed in Bart Simpson #82.
Synopsis[edit]
- "Marge takes Maggie to get her picture taken by Springfield's preeminent photographer, who has a penchant for premonitions."
Plot[edit]
Marge is at a photo studio to get Maggie's photo taken. The photographer tells Marge that he has taken pictures of nearly all the children in Springfield and after he takes the picture, he sees their future. He tells her that everyone laughs at him, but he has written down what he has seen in a book. The man shows some of the images to Marge. In Homer's future, he saw a sofa, in Otto's future he saw that he will sit behind a steering wheel and keep children safe. In Fat Tony's future, he saw crime, in Comic Book Guy's future he saw toys still in their original packaging, and in Sideshow Bob's future he saw a spiky-haired demon who would turn him to crime. He predicted that Edna would be alpha of her tribe, Krusty would entertain kids, in Cletus' future he saw a family tree, and in Waylon Smithers' future he saw Burns. In Moe's future he saw a bar and Gil had no future. Marge tells him that his predictions are all eerily accurate. The man asks Marge if she wants to see Maggie's future, but she does not want to, and she walks away to another photographer. The man writes down what he saw in Maggie's future: she'll be Springfield's finest citizen, founder of multiple charities, influential speaker, presidential candidate and she'll give good hugs.
