Oh, Brother! is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #162.

Synopsis[edit]

In an attempt to win the favor (and votes) of Springfield's senior citizens, Mayor Quimby proclaims "Take Your Parent to Work Day". The Springfieldians' observance of the day produces unexpected results, such as Grampa Simpson marrying Mr. Burns's mother and Bart teaming up with Agnes Skinner to pull a prank on Principal Skinner.

Plot[edit]

Joe Quimby comes to the retirement home fawning for the elderly before the election. Abe asks him to get their families to start spending time with them, so he introduces "Take your parent to work day". Ned's father visit his shop for the first time but misunderstands what type of store it is so Ned gives away the merchandise. Krusty is with his father in the TV show, but his father makes no laughter, although he tries. Homer and Abe is in the nuclear power plant, where Homer takes a nap. Abe then presses on the buttons on the control panel as he wants to listen to the radio. He starts a meltdown but manages to avert it by pushing a random button.

Bart has terrorized another substitute into leaving so Principal Skinner lets hismom be Bart's new teacher. Bart tries to scare Agnes but fails and she exposes herself to him for the same joke but in a much worse way. Abe meets at the nuclear power plant with Mr. Burns mom and after work the two go away together. The next day, Abe comes to his family and presents to them his new wife, Mr. Burns' mother, and when Homer comes to the work he realizes that Mr. Burns is now his brother and they both start having fun together. Bart tries to scare Agnes again but fails.

The next day, Mr. Burns is out with Homer and starts to do some pranks. Agnes and Bart are talking and Bart tells that before she came, he was the school's king of pranks, and that now he's just a stupid kid. Agnes sees that Bart is sad and have an idea how they can prank Skinner. Bart starts the fire alarm causing Skinner to flee the school in panic, but as Agnes waxes the floor, he drifts towards to a costume depicting a hot dog and ends up in the costume, in front of the press who are there for interview him about the most dignified school principals.

Homer and Burns returns after their prank time to work, where Smithers tells them that Abe never married his mother. It was an actor, Tallulah Winkelman who played his mother. Abe files for a divorce and Burns stop treating Homer as his brother. After the marriage Homer's credit limit increased, but after the divorce it went back to normalcy, so he makes a call to Homerland, formerly know as Iceland to tell him he can no longer buy the country, to their despair.
