Pride and Pageantry is an event-exclusive questline in The Simpsons: Tapped Out. It was introduced in the County Fair content update.

Intro[edit]

After starting the update Flanders, what's this big pumpkin-y looking pumpkin next to my hammock? Praise the gourd! One of my seeds must've Exodus-ed its way to your yard and sprouted! Well get it out of here, that's where I throw my empty beer cans. Surely! The dregs of your devil's brew fertilized it into the biggest pumpkin of the bunch! It's sure to win first prize at the County Fair. Whoa, whoa, whoa, first prize? Are you trying to take credit for my hard work?! My yard, my pumpkin! Now buzz off. Farmer Homer has to do some gardening. Task: "Make Homer Drink and Throw Empties Out the Window". The job takes place at the Simpson House and takes 6 seconds. Task: "Make Flanders Do Normal Gardening Work Like a Sucker". The job takes place at Flanders House and takes 6 seconds. Wow, Homer, that pumpkin's even bigger than before. You've sure got a green thumb! I'll show you ANOTHER finger if you keep bugging me while I'm drinking. Quest reward: 100 and 10

Pt. 1[edit]

After completing the Intro Out of the way, losers! Future award-winning pumpkin coming through! Homer, that trash talking's not really in the spirit of friendly competition. Maybe if you paid more attention to your crops and less to my crap-talking, you'd have bigger gourds. Could you at least try not to stomp on other contestants' vegetables? Task: "Make Homer Talk Trash to Other Contestants". The job takes place at the Simpson House and takes 3 hours. Task: "Make Springfielders Compare Prize Crops" (x5). The jobs take place at the Simpson House and take 3 hours. Task: "Earn Prize Ribbons" (x150). Homer, your gourd is the largest. Woo-hoo! ...but it's technically more alcohol than pumpkin, so you are disqualified. D'oh! ...but your pumpkin won first place in the home brewing competition. Woo-hoo! Pt. 2[edit]

After completing Pt. 1 This fair is not going well. The carnies aren't even having turf wars! I have an idea to get people excited. Let me guess, Lisa, some sort of recycling drive? No, it's-- What, you want to knit a quilt for some second-tier disease no one's heard of? No, that's not what I-- We don't have time to listen to some dumb little girl's ideas. I WAS TALKING ABOUT HAVING A BEAUTY PAGEANT! Everybody shut up, the dumb little girl has a great idea! Get my judging sash! Task: "Make Quimby Find His Sash That Says "JUDGE"". The job takes place at the Town Hall and takes 3 hours. Task: "Make Lisa Prepare the Stage for the Pageant". The job takes place at the Town Hall and takes 3 hours. Task: "Earn Prize Ribbons" (x325). Welcome everyone, to the Little Miss Springfield Pageant! Did he say, "Little Miss"? This is not the pageant I wanted! Lisa, honey, get off the stage. You can protest later. Pt. 3[edit]

After completing Pt. 2 Lisa, I'm happy you want to compete in the pageant, but... have you been eating your father's booze pumpkin? Mom, I can only win so many spelling bees, geography bees, and bee-raising bees. I want to be in a fun contest with girls my own age. All the girls your own age dropped out because they thought you were going to throw paint on them to protest fake fur. Fake fur is manslaughter! Yes, well, since you're the only one left, you are the new Little Miss Springfield. Wow, I don't know what to say! You can start by officiating the livestock competitions. Task: "Make Little Miss Springfield Lisa Officiate Contests". The job takes place at the Fair Pavilion or Springfield Elementary and takes 3 hours. Task: "Earn Prize Ribbons" (x325). This magnificent bovine takes top prize! ... What becomes of a prize-winning bull? Steak, hamburger, and -- just between you and me -- tofu. Pt. 4[edit]

After completing Pt. 3 I can't choose the animals that get led to slaughter! You must! It says so in the bylaws. It also says you're in charge of managing the town's DVR. County fairs should champion progressive values of the twenty-first century like organic foods, sustainable farms, and free-range livestock. I think you're confusing the twenty-first century with the twentieth. Nowadays people only care about putting sriracha on things. Normally, I'd side with Lisa, but I do love a burger topped with spicy chili sauce. Finally, something stupid Flanders and I can agree on! Task: "Make Ned Have a Burger With Homer". The job takes place at Krusty Burger and takes 3 hours. Task: "Earn Prize Ribbons" (x325). That hit the spot. I could go for a hot dog next! Those won't be ready until the "Miscellaneous" animal category is judged. Quest reward: 100 and 10 Little Miss Springfield's "Protest" animated job

Pt. 5[edit]

After completing Pt. 4 This is terrible! Lisa, don't think of yourself as the judge who sentenced these animals to slaughter. Think of yourself as a DIFFERENT judge who denied their appeal. That's it, I can't sit by anymore while we butcher animals in the name of "community". It's time to use a public position for something it was never intended for: a voice for change and awareness. Task: "Make Little Miss Springfield Lisa Protest". The job takes 8 hours. Task: "Earn Prize Ribbons" (x325). Who knew the farmin' business would be so controversial? First, they stole our markets, now this. If'n someone could find the funds to buy my place, well, they could have it, headache and all. Is that so? Quest reward: 100 and 10 Cheddarbarrel Farm

Pt. 6[edit]

After completing Pt. 5 You were right, Mayor. The bylaws say I have to judge the animals. But it also says that I get to pick what we spend the community funds on. Why are we always giving power of attorney to children?! We should've learned our lesson when that Little League team instituted martial law! I've decided that we're going to buy a community farm! And all the animals can live there in harmony and we'll all help out! Somebody get me a pitchfork! That's the spirit! And a torch, too! Come on, mob, let's get her! Task: "Build Cheddarbarrel Farm". It takes 4 hours. Task: "Place a Corn Field". Task: "Make Lisa Hide From Mob". The job takes place at a Corn Field and takes 8 hours. Task: "Make Springfielders Search Corn Field" (x5). The jobs take place at a Corn Field and take 8 hours. Jeez, everyone's so touchy when I decide to spend funds on frivolous, money-losing endeavors to clear my conscience. At least the mob's pitchforks are doing a LITTLE bit of farming... Quest reward: 200 and 10
