- For the quest in The Simpsons: Tapped Out, see The Osaka Flu.
The Osaka Flu is a illness that took over the city of Springfield.
History[edit]
A factory worker on an assembly line in Osaka, Japan, which was assembling the "Juice Loosener," a juicer sold on a shopping show and invented by Dr. Nick, coughed into a box destined for Homer, filling it with airborne germs. When the juicer arrived in Springfield, the Simpson family and the rest of the town contracted the Osaka Flu.[1]

The Simpsons: Tapped Out[edit]
When Major Quimby filled the town with tourists, opening recreations of France, Japan, and Brazil, they brought the flu into town, spreading it among other tourists and all over the world. Dr. Hibbert created a vaccine, but the consequences of it were still unknown.[2]
