Homer's Run is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #72.

Plot[edit]

The Simpson family is charged $2000 when Bart smashes the church windows playing cricket, and they are forced to give up their luxuries. Bart is given a falcon named Falco by the Sea Captain but is unable to train it and has to attend to its every need via a pager. Homer learns that Lenny and Carl are retiring, as Mr. Burns is giving his workers the option to do so at 40 and live on a Hawaiian island. Using a fake ID, Homer retires with them. The Simpson family, Lenny and Carl arrive on the Hawaiian island of "Garbagio", which is made entirely out of trash. Via a TV, Mr. Burns reveals that he has sent them to live on the island as it will enable him to receive a tax break. After living there for a week, Lisa uses Bart's pager to send an SOS message. Falco arrives with seagulls who all eat the island. Mr. Burns sees the survivors stranded on a raft and retrieves them back to Springfield. Burns is impressed by Falco, and Bart offers to let him keep him in exchange for Homer, Lenny and Carl's jobs back along with $2000. Falco takes control over the power plant from Burns, who now lives in a bird cage.
