Play Information

Y2K: The Millennium Bug is a musical about the Year 2000 problem.
History[edit]
When Marge was in high school, she worked as a stage manager for the plays the school put on. One of these was Y2K: The Millennium Bug, which was directed by Franklin Chase.
After Franklin Chase died, Marge was given her old prompt book by Mrs. Chase. Marge then decided to put on the musical again, bringing in all the old cast members. However, Lenny injured himself before the musical could be started, so Homer took over his role instead.
When the cast reunited, they decided that they couldn't do the musical without their star, Sasha Reed. Sasha then arrived, which made everyone happy as she was very popular in high school. The cast then set to work on relearning their lines, whilst also reconnecting. However, since Marge wasn't a cast member, she got left out. Marge then found out that she had been frequently left out when she was in high school, although she didn't realize it at the time. Marge then researched about Sasha Reed and printed out a new playbook, revealing that Sasha had lied about her successful career. When Marge revealed this to everyone, Sasha got upset and quit the musical.
After Marge realized how mean she had been, she apologized to Sasha and the rest of the performers. They then carried on the musical and performed it to a full crowd.
