Wimbledon is a district in London, England.

History

The Wimbledon Tennis Championships are in Wimbledon where Krusty the Clown once went to watch the match on centre court, but his heckling cause the announcer to ask him to be quiet and he got a disapproving look from Queen Elizabeth II.

Bart wondered where Santa's Little Helper might be and imagined the bridge of a luxury ocean liner where a snooty heiress with an English accent told the captain, "Captain, can't we go any faster? I greatly fear we shan't be in Wimbledon by noonfall."
