Tips[edit]

Just a few tips, a shortcut to wikipedia is: What text you want displayed Also, Bart, Lisa, Homer, Marge and Maggie as well as various other recurring character first names redirect to their article so instead of putting Lisa, just put Lisa Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk)☆ 16:11, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Also, with templates, you do not need the Template: bit, just the template name in the . And, if you could include the whole infobox on pages, even if we do not have that info please as it can be added in at a later date. ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk)☆ 20:25, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Image Licensing[edit]

No copyright.png You have recently uploaded the image File:Saltire5.jpg, to this wiki; however, you did not add a licensing tag to it. Every image on Wikisimpsons must have the correct copyright status provided in the image's description within a day, otherwise it will be deleted. There are licensing templates provided which can be placed on the page to provide copyright status. The templates can be used through the drop down menus which you will find on the upload screen. See Wikisimpsons:Images for more information.Thank you.

The Solar Dragon (Talk)☆ 14:02, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, but HTH do I ADD the licensing info once it's been uploaded?? Mythigator 14:25, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

If you mean how, see MediaWiki:Licenses for a full list. The writing on the left of the pipe is the template name. Just type that in the template brackets. ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk)☆ 14:28, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
Well, here's the skinny ... I downloaded the saltire from a website YEARS ago, and I have no idea which site it was (after checking some possibilities, I think it no longer exists). The datestamp on the original file is October 16, 2001, which was two computers and several hard drive reformats ago. Since then I've modified it several times for use as a message board avatar, most recently to re-size it for the user image space on Wikisimpsons. Because it wasn't exactly bolted down to start with, I'm inclined to think that the "fairuse" tag applies, but how do I ADD that info to an existing image? Mythigator 14:43, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
Edit the picture location like a normal article and add the template. ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk)☆ 14:44, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
If the website no longer exists, just put that in source. ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk)☆ 14:45, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
Got it. I think that covers all the bases. Mythigator 14:53, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
Fine now then. Thanks for that. ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk)☆ 14:55, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Aaaaaaaaaaaagh![edit]

In case you are wondering, some how, you recreated the page. It must have been just as I deleted it or something. Anyway, I know you didn't mean to recreate it so it doesn't matter. Just in case you see the deletion log and see that you created it. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 16:17, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Weird, but the timing would certainly explain what happened. At any rate, thanks for the info. -- Mythigator 17:20, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Scarlet Scarab's Image Tab Question[edit]

can i go ahead and put image tabs on character pages (ex. Seth, etc.) whichever ones i find don't have one? ScarletScarabX (Talk) 11:57, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Do you mean the "Image Needed" template? If so, then of course, and in fact, that's an excellent idea. Articles with the "Image Needed" template automatically get placed into an "Articles Needing Images" category, where they'll be more likely to come to the attention of someone on an "image quest" -- that is, looking specificallly to put images in articles that need one. Just make sure you put the template at the very beginning of the article where it will also be noticed by anyone who randomly comes across the article. Then said random surfer may go on their own image quest. Thanks!! -- Mythigator 12:04, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
thanks for getting back to me on it i saw munchie had one and seth didnt would it be images or images needed? i guess i'll find out now. ScarletScarabX (Talk) 21:38, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Back to Work[edit]

In case anyone cares: I am working again, fourteen months after being laid off (I believe the UK term is "redundant") at my former job. I just finished my first full week at my new job. As far as the wiki is concerned, I will be less active, but still contributing. -- Mythigator 06:06, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Congrats on your job then. Hope to see you around still then. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 07:40, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Season Articles[edit]

It was nothing. Wikisimpsons needed legitimate season articles if it had the episodes. In fact, there was no articles on after Season 3. I made Season 4 and 5 btw. Thanks for helping out, including others who also contributed. I would like it if the summaries were formally made to make it look more professional, up to Wikipedia standards. We have a long way to go to create the season articles here.

OhstaWiki 14:17, July 3, 2010 (UTC)OhstaWiki

Hi Ohsta, thanks for answering. I do have some thoughts about the season articles in general, and the epidsode summaries in particular, but I'll have to post the details later today when I'll have more time to write. For now, I just wanted to let you know that your response got posted twice and I deleted the duplicate. -- Mythigator 17:22, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Mark Hamill[edit]

In articles, such as Mark Hamill, the (character) in the title is known as a disambiguation, and, per customs, those should always be in small case, not with capitals. I'm not entirely sure what point you're trying to prove, but it's counterproductive. -- Brian McClure 13:35, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Well, you're the one who has made a big deal out of it, for whatever reason. It's simply a case of grammar. Because "character" is not a noun, it should be spelled lower case. -- Brian McClure 13:43, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

My understanding of wiki-lingo is that is a disambiguation page is designed as a launch point to refer users to the correct page in the event that two articles could possibly have the same title. If I'm mistaken, I'll stand corrected. No particular "point" is involved; just some article housecleaning regarding celebrities who appear as themselves on the show. Solar made a blog entry titled "Changes to Layout of Articles" which should explain what's going on. -- Mythigator 13:47, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

At any rate, if a lower-case c for "character" is the customary preference, no problem. Thanks! -- Mythigator 13:48, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Brian, my apologies. The custom was in place long since and I should have noticed it (for example, on the "Mr. Plow" group of articles). I see where you're coming from now and thanks again. -- Mythigator 14:07, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Seven Duffs[edit]

Hi, when doing up this article, do you mind if you could create an individual page for all 7 Duffs as well? Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 07:20, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

I thought about that, but the only individual Duff on whom enough material exists to make a decent stand-alone article is Surly (and maybe Sleazy, but even he would be a bit of a stretch). As they've been portrayed so far, the other Duffs' significance is as a group, which IMO is pretty thin grounds for making individual articles. -- Mythigator 12:02, August 11, 2010 (UTC)
Okay. Got Surly Duff's page written, and it turned out better than I thought it would. -- Mythigator 12:48, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

The Bob Next Door[edit]

Hi. Did you manage to DVR The Bob Next Door after? I'd like to find out who voiced Walt Warren. Its very weird that nobody seems to know who voiced him.    Effluvium    talk    contributions    email   21:31, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

I did, and I just now got around to checking the credits. The only voice actor other than the regular cast is Kelsey Grammer, who of course voiced Sideshow Bob. My personal suspicion now is that Dan Castellaneta voiced Walt, as Walt sounds a LOT like Gil, and Dan C. voices Gil. We still need word from an official source, though. --Mythigator 00:51, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
Ah-uh. Hmmm, thats strange. You've got me thinking that it's Dan too.    Effluvium    talk    contributions    email   21:32, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
It's definitely Hank Azaria. Gran2 23:03, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
Have you got a source for that? We've been trying to figure out Walt's voice all summer. -- Mythigator 05:04, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
I asked him on Twitter but he hasn't responded and I doubt he will. But it's definitely him. It's his Southern voice, there have been at least two characters in the last few seasons with the same voice, but off the top of my head, it's the same voice as the baseball commentator ("Hall of famer Whitey Ford now on the field trying to plead for, for some kind of sanity") from The Twisted World of Marge Simpson and that was Hank. It's not Harry (his voice is too low) and it's not Dan (his voice is too high) and if it was a guest star it would have been published. Gran2 16:56, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

Huh?[edit]

That's not "proper" capitalization. This isn't Germany. That's not the style at Wikipedia or any other wiki, so rather than making this wiki look "sharper" it makes it look dumber. Gran2 20:41, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

It seems to me that the section titles are kind of like book titles and should be capitalized accordingly. Using lower-case on the words after the first looks sloppy, IMO. -- Mythigator 20:58, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

Right, sure. But I repeat: that's not the style used at Wikipedia, Lostpedia or Wookieepedia. Three places where it's a good idea to copy what they do. Gran2 21:06, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
I'll take your word for it based on your experience with Wikipedia. To paraphrase Sideshow Bob, nitpick cheerfully withdrawn. -- Mythigator 21:09, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

Marge Simpson[edit]

Hi. Just need some help with judgement - do you think we should have the cover of the Playboy magazine featuring Marge Simpson on her page - after all its a pretty good example of how her character is being used in the real-world and relates well to the "Cultural references" section. Or do you think it'll be a little too risque for the wiki? I, generally, have no problem with the cover, but as Solar has said before some young kids may be reading, you never know! What do you think? Im in two minds...    Effluvium    talk    contributions    email   19:19, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

We already have pictures of Karl kissing Homer, and of Linsday Naegle and Marge kissing, so I'm not overly concerned about the "naughtiness" factor of Marge's Playboy cover. Especially not if you're thinking of using a non-explicit pic AND if you keep it somewhat subtle and make it small (200 pixels max; maybe even smaller). Playboy did run a pic or two showing Marge's breasts in all their glory, and obviously one of those wouldn't be appropriate. (Too bad, in a way -- I think they made Marge look like a total hottie.) I think the copyright factor is a bigger question. What I would do is look Marge's article up on Wikipedia, see if they have her Playboy cover pic, and (if it's there) look at the image's information to see how they handled the copyright issues. If the info they provide doesn't make any sense to you, let me know and I'll go have a look. It won't be until the wee hours of the morning (your time), though. -- Mythigator 19:32, August 26, 2010 (UTC)
Ahh, well, I was a little concerned about the naughtiness part, but I see your point now. And, no, I was only going to upload the Playboy cover - everything is well hidden! - but, I can't seem to find a picture of the Playboy cover anywhere on Wikipedia. I've just had a look now. Could you have a look around? No worries about the late reply, I understand. Thanks again, Mythigator! :)    Effluvium    talk    contributions    email   19:38, August 26, 2010 (UTC)
I also didn't find the image on Wikipedia, so I think we're better off not going there because of copyright issues. It would be worth checking Marge's Wikipedia article periodically to see if they do post it, because it would be a worthy and suitable addition to her article here. -- Mythigator 12:59, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
Ah, OK. Yeah, it would be a great addition to the page. Anyway, thanks, Mythigator! :)    Effluvium    talk    contributions    email   13:02, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Redirects[edit]

Thanks for your message! The other wikis I work on discourage redirects in article texts, so I assumed it was the same here. I hope I didn't cause too much trouble.

 1. Could you repeat the Vandalism template coding? The way it came out on the page, it didn't make sense.
 2. I was going to put in for Rollback, so you've anticipcated me. Thanks again.! -- Mythigator 19:12, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Bands[edit]

With regards to bands, what would the band's character page's name be? The Ramones (character) or The Ramones (characters)? Gran2 18:22, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

It should be (characters), as in plural, because there's more than one person involved. I'll take a peek at the project page and weave that detail in, if it's not there already. I was going to do the article split for The Dixie Chicks, but I haven't gotten to it yet. If you do the split for The Ramones, please add the article pair to the examples table. Thanks! -- Mythigator 19:36, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Periods[edit]

Periods don't got inside the quote marks around an episode title. The period is not part of the episode's name. Gran2 17:34, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

It's a UK vs. USA punctuation usage issue. Please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quotation_mark#Punctuation. Then we need to check with Solar or another 'crat as to which should be the standard style here. It seems to me that since the wiki is, IIRC, supposed to be in USA-style English ("color" and not "colour," for example), then USA punctuation usage would be the way to go as well. However, I'm open to correction on either point. -- Mythigator 17:48, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
Wow, yet another example of how stupid US language use is. I see why the British style is also called logical punctuation and why Wikipedia opts to use that form. I'm sorry, but a full stop is not part of an episode title and it's misleading to say it is. Even if it becomes 'official' policy, then I won't be doing it. It's not really an important issue though, so meh. Gran2 18:28, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
Well, excuuuussseee me for being a Yank and for caring. (end sarcasm) And actually, Wikipedia uses the USA style. Take a closer look. True, though, it's not that big a deal. I was just wondering where the difference of opinion was coming from, and now I know. Mystery solved. -- Mythigator 18:37, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, Wikipedia uses logical style, which I why I use it. Gran2 18:45, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
Seems we're mostly on the same page, then. It's just that I'm so used to tucking periods and commas inside the quotation marks (and gotten my figurative wrist slapped so many times for doing otherwise) that the opposite looks bizarre to me. All the same, not a huge deal. "When in Rome," as they say. -- Mythigator 19:17, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Article splits[edit]

What I saw was a short article with a split tag that said more information could be found on the talk page. The talk page was blank. The main reason for splitting articles on wikis is because they have become too long. What I did would have been perfectly reasonable on any other wiki and would not have been done had I found any apparent explanation on the relevant article, discussion page, or template used.

Perhaps, then, if you intend to split articles for voice actors who play themselves into a person and a character, the split template should give that reason. Wikipedia's Split2 tag allows this. On the "Weird Al" Yankovic page, for example, a template could be used that says:

"It has been suggested that some content from this article or section be split into a separate article titled "Weird Al" Yankovic (character)"

If such a template doesn't already exist, just make one. Then, not only will it be obvious what needs to be done, a random passerby may even actually do it. Forteblast 17:33, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Most articles aren't split because they become too long. They are split if there is information that belongs in another page. Yes, we should really improve the template but, hey, you shouldn't go removing maintenance templates without either solving the problem or discussing it on the talk page. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 17:39, September 20, 2010 (UTC)
To me the problem was that a template was being used for no apparent reason, a problem that I attempted to solve by removing the template. I wasn't just going around changing things just to be a dick. Forteblast 17:54, September 20, 2010 (UTC)
I know that. You should discuss with the community first though. The template would have been put up there for a reason. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 17:59, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

I'm (OhstaWiki) back.[edit]

Hello. It has been a little while but you may remember me or not but I was OhstaWiki. The account is now inactive since I happen to not like the username after all. Anyway, I would like to continue producing the season articles but they have to be resized or even remade as Wikia's new skin is much narrower. I also don't like it like many others, including Solar Dragon.92.3.133.123 15:40, November 6, 2010 (UTC)NGMan62

Well, we are in the process of moving to a new location, here. Once the new host has gotten their new database up and running, we will have our content moved there. Links to Wikia[edit]

Hi, We should no longer link to any Wikia wiki, no matter how good it is. We are anti-Wikia and we should not give them any more publicity. Even Effluvium and Kingcjc have come over with us. So, if you notice any links to Wikia, remove them instead of changing them, unless there is an external or ShoutWiki wiki about that subject. Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 23:46, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Acknowledged and wilco, but under protest. Your beef is with Wikia management such as Sarah and Sannse, and it strikes me as rather petty to shun the viable user communities with whom we have no quarrel. And if you're referring to the Patrick Stewart link to Memory Alpha, I submit that wiki was around and viable long before it went "dark side" and signed on with Wikia.
If you take the link down, I won't put it back, but again, I think you are being petty and harsh.
All that said, though, it's good to see King and Effluv in here. Have they washed their hands of the Wikia mob, then? -- Mythigator 23:54, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
I know what you are saying but Wikia screwed us over big time. It is only because of Wikia we moved here. If the wiki moved away then we should link to them. Otherwise, no. And, yes, Kingcjc and Effluvium have washed their hands of Simpsons Wiki at least. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 07:41, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Project Self Voicers[edit]

Hi, now that we have finished the move and are very much back into the swing of things here, I was wondering when you would be carrying on with the project. Since you are like the main member of it and do these better than anyone else, I asked you. It is just that doing up all the guest star articles, i noticed the articles that need to be split so I just skip them. There are quite a few in Season 3 though. Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:06, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Cool! If you put the split tag on them, that'll give me a hitlist to work with. I'll try and focus on Season 3, though. -- Mythigator 19:28, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
They mainly do have the split tag on. They are just sitting there and it is really starting to get on my nerves seeing the articles like that. (I might have OCD when it comes to these :P) ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:32, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Hang in there, compadre. Like you said, with the move and the associated drama in the past, we can get back to work around here. But I totally understand the OCD feelings; I have the same feelings about the episode summaries in the season articles (Season 1, Season 2, etc.). -- Mythigator 21:39, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi, sorry for picking on you but you are the first rollback I have seen. Would you mind making an account on the Wikisimpsons Forum please? I need to test to see if the new user group I made (Rollback) works there. Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 13:54, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

Done, but I didn't see anything in my account info (when I posted a message) about Rollback status. I gather the group status is a change you need to make, then. Interesting-looking board, BTW. I run a small one (about 20 members) on Invision, and the ZetaForums layout (and URL system) is pretty similar. -- Mythigator 14:09, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, they are run by the same company. I need Smiley or another member good with css to design the skin as the request fell through due to us not having 500 posts on the forum... Anyway, I have given you the status on the forums. There should be a forum which you can access now under Staff Only. Can you see it? Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:12, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
I see the staff forum fine. I'll play more with it later. BTW, my Invision forum is called Gamut Chat, and we're mostly a bunch of old Yanks (20 or so of us, ages generally 30s & 40s) talking about everything from movies to current events to sports. If you don't mind hanging out with a bunch of old fossils (relatively speaking), feel free to drop by. My handle there is "Poet Fander". There are threads on the board (which you should be able to read without logging in) that explain what we're about and how we came to set up the board. Also, 500 posts is not so high a bar as it may seem; Gamut has only been around since the end of July and we're already over 1,500 posts. -- Mythigator 14:25, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
I know it is not that high. I just wanted to get the skin looking right as soon as possible. I managed to change the background image fine though. :P Link to the forum? I will transfer my sig over to there after making an account too. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:31, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
A link to Gamut? Sure, but I'll have to mail to you later, in private. Right now I need to start getting ready for work. -- Mythigator 14:33, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
OK then. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:40, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

A request[edit]

Hi, could you make one edit that you consider great. Once you do this, could you link it here or on my talk page, showing the difference in the history, complete URL. I won't tell you why yet. All will become clear soon. Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 22:50, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

I have a page in mind, and I can probably have it for you tomorrow evening. It's an episode References page that needs a makeover: Wikipedia links redone (and in a lot of cases, just plain added), references sorted (because it's an anthology), and so on. Is that the sort of thing you have in mind? -- Mythigator 06:55, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
If you think that is big enough, go ahead and do it. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 08:07, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Would a new article fill the bill? In addition to the aforementioned episode References makeover, one project in my pipeline is a new article for a TV show (in-universe, of course). It's shaping up to be relatively short on text, but with plenty of pictures (most of which will be in a gallery at the end). Whichever idea seems best for your objective, let me know and I'll tackle that project first. Also, what about recent past edits? I'm pretty pleased with how my makeover of the Springfield Squares article came out, and that's one that I've done since the move to ShoutWiki. -- Mythigator 17:13, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Sure, new article, improving an old article. Anything that you think is good enough. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 17:32, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
All-righty then! The new article, Ya Hoo!, is all done. Big enou' for ye, Solar lad? :-) -- Mythigator 05:21, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

Thumbnails into galleries?[edit]

Well, I am continuing to produce the season articles where you can assist like you did before. Maybe the thumbnails need to be sorted as they vary in size and affect the tables. If not, then perhaps they should no longer exist as thumbnails and become as a gallery in the articles?--NGMan62 23:52, 22 December 2010 (UTC)NGMan62

I almost hate to say it because it's probably a LOT more work, but those episode images look a lot better as thumbnails than they would as a gallery at the end of the page. Maybe you could manually re-size the images to fit the spaces where they go in the tables? Sorry I don't have a suggestion I'm more sure about, but I've never tried building a table as complicated as the season summaries -- let alone one with pictures in it. Tables like the ones in Bart's Prank Calls, Earthland Realms, and the list of spells in Treehouse of Horror XII/References are more my speed. -- Mythigator 03:24, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Very well, then. I have another suggestion, which is to perhaps replace them with promotional images as they have been particular used on later episodes?
That sounds OK. But my main point was that the images look better when they're on the same area of the table as the episode they go with, rather than having them all collected in a gallery. -- Mythigator 20:06, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
I would say its better having them spread around the page ----- It's Magic - C Blackadder 20:11, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Re:Quick Category Question[edit]

That might be a question we as a community need to decide, but I think generally there's over-categorization here. When an article is part of the sub-category, then it IS part of the parent category, so I see no need to add both. However, others feel differently so it might be worth seeking other opinions. -- Brian McClure 16:16, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

I feel that we should add say all characters to the Characters category for instance instead of just sub categories. Mainly because this is easier for bot tasks etc. It also gives you a straight list instead of having to go to multiple categories. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 16:29, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
At some points it has seemed to me in the past that there is an-over categorisation. Though Solar does present a good point on the characters category. You can always make that hidden though... ----- It's Magic - C Blackadder 17:10, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

I&S[edit]

Hey Mythigator I just checked with cjc and Solar on IRC and they say that it should for consistency and (i didn't know this) but one has appeared twice ("The Itchy's tongue attached to tne moon"). I'll add to the to-do list and get started on it now. --Cook879 16:42, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Me and Solar were talking about making a regular meeting time sometime, so everyone can get on and discuss stuff and what not.--Cook879 16:48, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Also i never intended to make a task - probably wouldn't have become one if you didn't bring it up :).--Cook879 16:50, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Trust me - they are going nowhere with the contributors i left behind.--Cook879 17:07, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Meeting time[edit]

Hi Mythigator thanks for leaving a message on Blog:Wikisimpsons editor meetings. The weekend is the current time frame it will be located in and so could you please post the time period (preferably in GMT, if not state your time zone) you will be available in on these days on the blog, my user talk page or your own user talk page. Thank you. --Cook879 20:53, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Evening GMT time (say, somewhere between 4-8 pm) is a time frame I can probably work with on weekends. As for which day, for me Sundays are a little better than Saturdays, but either one works. -- Mythigator 06:20, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Ice hockey wiki[edit]

Hello Mythigator. On the shoutwiki blog, you asked me if I owned an ice hockey site on shout. Well, this is the link http://icehockey.shoutwiki.com/wiki/The_Face_Off. Are you interested in contributing? I'd be thrilled to have another user, as I lost most of the community when I moved. Reply on my talk page. Thanks Hockeyben

Yellow admins[edit]

I like that the admins appear with yellow marking in the edit history. What is the code to do that? Do you know? --Hockeyben 23:31, 4 May 2011 (MSD)

I have no idea how any of that works. -- Mythigator 23:33, 4 May 2011 (MSD)
See MediaWiki:Common.css. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 01:23, 5 May 2011 (MSD)

Admin[edit]

Hi Mythigator, for all your hard work around the wiki, and the fact we only have three active admins, I have decided to promote you to the ranks of admin. I've put a lot of thought into this and you seem to be the logical choice. Congratulations and have fun with your new tools. If you need any help with using them, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks, The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 16:43, 27 September 2011 (EDT)

On a side note, you may want to archive your talk page. SolarDragonName.png (Talk - Contribs.) 02:25, 6 October 2011 (EDT)
Agreed, but I'm not sure how to do it. -- Mythigator 08:33, 6 October 2011 (EDT)
http://simpsonswiki.net/wiki/Special:MovePage/User_talk:Mythigator and move to User_talk:Mythigator/Archive_1 /AleWi 09:03, 6 October 2011 (EDT)
Yeah, basically just move the page to User talk:Mythigator/Archive 1, suppress the redirect and remake your talk page, adding the archivebox. SolarDragonName.png (Talk - Contribs.) 10:13, 6 October 2011 (EDT)

Bronze Homer Award, and Archiving[edit]
