Springfield has a variety of laws that are not found in other parts of the state or the US.
Laws[edit]
Town Charter[edit]
- The charter starts with "We the People of Springfield" and is signed by six people, including Jebediah Springfield[1]
- The chief constable shall receive one pig every month and two comely lasses of virtue true [2]
- If food stuff should touch the ground, said food stuff should be turned over to the village idiot [3]
- Ducks shall wear long pants [4]
- He who can juggle six pies at once will be proclaimed Elementary School Principal[5]
- Whoever holds their breath for over ten minutes will be titled "The Springfield Chief of Police".[5]
Laws on legality[edit]
