Ricky Dene Gervais (born June 25, 1961) is an English actor, comedian, and writer. He voiced Charles Heathbar in the season 17 episode "Homer Simpson, This Is Your Wife", as well as writing it, and himself in the season 22 episode "Angry Dad: The Movie". He also narrated three Sky1 Simpsons documentaries and was interviewed in The Simpsons: A Culture Show. This makes him the first guest star to write a Simpsons episode, before Seth Rogen.
