- When Louie turns on the music for Fat Tony, the song "At Seventeen" by Janis Ian plays.
- The cop show that Homer watches before changing the channel is an episode of the TV show Starsky and Hutch.
- Over the freeze-frame at the end of the Starsky and Hutch episode the words appear "A Stephen J. Copshow Production," a parody of Stephen J. Cannell, who produced many cop shows but not Starsky and Hutch.
