- When Bart and Milhouse are making unkind comments about Francine Rhenquist on her first day at Springfield Elementary School, Milhouse says, "Yeah, she thinks she's Babe:Pig in the City", referring to the second movie about Babe the pig.

Goofs
- In the chase scene, Milhouse is sitting on the left side (our view), however after Otto reverses to pick up the new kid, Milhouse is on the right side.
- In Homer's grade school flashback where he is beating up a young Waylon Smithers, the musical instrument Barney is shown playing is a recorder, but the sound produced is that of a kazoo.
