The Bill Plympton couch gag is a couch gag designed by Bill Plympton.
Plot
The story starts with Homer Simpson as a young hippy. Homer was rollerscatting through a park when he got distracted by the couch and bumps into a tree and the couch catches him. Later, Homer is skipping through meadows with the couch and they go to a coffee shop and were drinking a milkshake together. The chefs laugh at the two and the run away. They are then seen, on a shadow, kissing in an alley and a stray cat meows and the two run away again. They are then seen at a theater kissing and a man tells them to shut up. They are later have sex at Sleazy Hotel. The two are then strolling in a park when Homer sees Marge Simpson throwing a flying disc and Homer again walk into a tree, but this time Marge catches him. The couch is left crying. Homer and Marge then get married and the couch is looking through a window and sobbing. The couch knocks at the door and has a baby couch, Homer tells it to go away. The couch goes through rough stages in it's life; being a pole dancer, prostitute (where Homer drives past), getting thrown out of it's apartment, and a 5 cent chair to sit on. The couch gets depressed and is seen trying to commit suicide by jumping to a garbage truck as the baby couch watches. Homer stops the couch and then is seen with his family sitting on the couch. The couch then smiles.
