Well, it doesn't help that most of the users here are likely not aware of it, perhaps if you made a blog post to announce it, more would no. Umm, what do you mean what happened to the leaderboard? It looks fine to me. The Lucky edit badges don't work properly if you have multiple so that accounts to 100 of your missing points. I will add up and see if you are missing any more. If you want to leave because you are missing points, then just go. Categories

There are a number of pages that aren't properly categorized, but don't show up here because they have the stub template. So, I temporarily removed that category from the stub template so we can find those pages. The problem is that the uncategorized pages article only updates every now and then, so it might be a day or so until it updates, and I'm going away tomorrow. Could you please keep an eye on that, then when it updates, categorize the pages, then revert my edit? -- Brian McClure 13:51, August 12, 2010 (UTC)

Homer's Enemy Category One Time Characters

Editing problems

Sometimes the editing interface has problem through not only Wikisimpsons but throughout Wikia. Sometimes, I can't get a sentence left justified as it is middle justified and that sometimes the italic button sometimes does not work and leaves all but the highlighted area to be italic, well, italic and other similar problems. The Rich Text Editor is full of bugs and you can disable this and use the normal 'code' editor (which I currently use) by turning it off in the Editing tab in your preferences. I personally hate it with a passion due to all the bugs and the fact it messed up headers and spaces so... quotation marks in badges

Using quotation marks in badges (such as "Excellent") causes XHTML errors on pages that display them, such as this:

an attribute value literal can occur in an attribute specification list only after a VI delimiter

Suggested page name

I'm going to create a (sourced) list of people who have either rejected guest spots on the show, or been cut from an episode, or for other similar reasons didn't appear. It's something I've been collating for a while for Wikipedia, but it would it fit better here (it's fine on individual episode pages on Wikipedia). Wikisimpsons links occasionally do not work

On editing pages? There isn't a way. There is a way to change the colour on pages when reading it though but only admins can do it unless you add the code to your personal monaco.css ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:26, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

Mainpage

Hi. I've been thinking about what The Underfaker said a few weeks ago about the wiki mainpage - it needs a redesign. Things either need to be moved around or the whole thing needs to be cleaned up and redone. That HUGE space underneath the poll doesn't look attractive and is just wasting valuable space. I think we should follow the style of the Muppet Wiki and use their homepage as a template. That homepage is very attractive. And lets face it, the Muppets and the Simpsons are that different - both are long-runnning TV shows, both of HUGE cult fan bases, both have become household names here in the UK and obviously across the pond in the USA. I also like the "Facebook app" that the Muppet Wiki has used on their homepage, its very cool! Anyways, I think your on a long car ride or something (I saw it on a blog post, somewhere) so just get back to me whenever. The thing about Muppet Wiki is that they don't have any featured content or polls etc. We do need a redesign and I thought that TheUnderfaker was going to work on that. Yes, thats the only bad thing with Muppet Wiki. However, we could take some aspects and mix-and-match with the things we liked from the current homepage (e.g Featured Article, Poll etc). I'll have a word with Underfaker. Also, I've looked at the sandbox - I'm not sure what to do either. I'm sure someone on here will know what to do, or we could try contacting a wikia staff member to help out? I would try asking on the Community Central forums actually. I should put a link in the sidebar to that as it is very useful. I think he was looking for some tab thing so you click the tabs and get to other things on the main page. Not the same as the episode tabs which make new pages but just tabs on the same page. Featured Article Template

Also, seeing as we're talking about improving the wiki, I've been thinking about the Featured Article template which is put onto pages. Instead of that long box going across the top, can't we do what others wikis do and just have a star in the top right hand corner. I think that would work soooo much better! See, I'm not sure. I don't know if I want to have a huge box telling me its a featured article when all I want to do is find out how old Bart is, for example. It seems to work very well on Wookieepedia (they also use an icon in the corner if the page has been locked) and Lostpedia and a few others. I don't know. I, personally, think it would work better. I've seen it already. Well, apart from making it look more attractive, there is not a lot more that you can do to the page. You seem to have covered everything. No worries; I understand about the demands on your time. I've found that doing the article splits requires enough sustained undivided attention that I usually only do these on weekends. I'll see what I can do about making the page look spiffier.
