Bart claims his Oscar

The Academy Awards ceremony is a prestigious ceremony that hands out the Oscar awards.

History

After Sideshow Bob won an Emmy, a prison guard took the award from him. He said awards for excellence in entertainment were contraband. No Emmys, no Oscars, not even a Golden Globe.[1]

The Itchy & Scratchy Movie won nine Academy Awards.[2] Elizabeth Taylor had two Oscars.[3]

After Mr. Burns lost the Springfield Film Festival, he bribed everyone in Hollywood and tried to win the Academy Award but lost it to George C. Scott in Man Getting Hit by Football.[4]

Angry Dad: The Movie was nominated for an Oscar in the best short animated film category. Bart and Lisa came to the awards without Homer since Homer took all the credit. After finding out that he had been Oscar blocked, Rolling 80 gave him and Marge a lift to the Academy Awards.

Halle Berry was presenting the award for best short animated film. There were two other contenders for the award: Condiments by Mixar and Willis & Crumble in Better Gnomes and Gardens by Nick Park. Angry Dad: The Movie won, and Bart went to claim the award but realized that everyone needed credit. He then cut up the award into bits and gave each bit to a crew member who helped out.[5]
