Homer then declares to sell his soul for a doughnut and the devil (played by Ned Flanders) gives one to Homer and tells him that if he finishes it Homer will live the remainder of his life in Hell. Homer anyway finds it irrisistable and eats the last piece and the devil comes to steal Homer's soul but Lisa asks him to hold a trial. Marge already has it set up and hires Lionel Hutz to help with the case but since it is creeping Hutz out he simply jumps out the window and Homer is left defenseless. But luckily, Marge finds a book saying that Homer once said he would sell his soul to Marge and The Simpsons win the case but in return the devil turns Homer's head into a doughnut.
