The Atlanta Braves are a current Major League Baseball (MLB) team in Atlanta, Georgia.

History[edit]

Bart Simpson mentions the Atlanta Braves as a reason for keeping cable before Homer cuts the cable line.[1]

Chipper Jones was in his Atlanta Braves uniform was seen in a Jock Center commercial.[2]

Trivia[edit]

"Burns, Baby Burns" premiered right after the World Series between the Braves and the New York Yankees in 1996. Marge comments before the episode premiered "And Braves supporters, whose team was losing to the Yankees, were torn apart between their love for the Braves and their love for the Simpsons."[3]

The Atlanta Braves are a baseball team that has been in the National League since their creation in 1873. After numerous name changes and city relocations, the Braves moved to Atlanta in 1966. They won 3 World Series championships (1914, 1957, 1995), but were a dominative playoff team during the 1990s and early 2000s.
