Cultural references
- The title of the episode is a pun on the Pixar's film Wall-E.
- During the school dance, "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk plays.
- In an hallucination, a train resembling the Choo-Choo Train (like Azul) from Dora the Explorer and I Choo-Choo Choose You Train from The Simpsons episode "I Love Lisa" gets run over by Otto's school train and pressed.
- The train has a voice similar to Ringo Starr, referencing Thomas the Tank Engine which Ringo narrated in it's first two seasons.
- At the end of the episode, in another hallucination, Otto's school train meets the Magic School Bus, Ms. Frizzle and the kids from the show. They enter his ear with the Magic School Bus' magic but Otto pulls them out and squishes them.
