  • In the commentary it says that the Child Protective Services Male was based on a teacher they had,
  • In the original airing Milhouse mentioned the box with the infected monkey came from Pier 1 Imports. Because this joke offended the people at Pier 1, it was edited in the syndicated version to a fictional company Trader Pete's. In the DVD releases, the Pier 1 reference is kept in, though the subtitles state it as Trader Pete's.
