Ayn Rand School for Tots

Location Information

The Ayn Rand School for Tots is a daycare centre that Maggie was sent to while Marge was rehearsing for a play. According to Ms. Sinclair, the boastful owner of the school, it is the only daycare in Springfield not currently under investigation by the state.
The workings of the school are modeled after the philosophies of Ayn Rand. Posters referring to Rand's ideas are hung throughout the nursery, including "A is A" and "Helping is Futile." Also, because the school encourages toddlers "to develop the bottle within," pacifiers are banned, and are in fact swiftly confiscated if the babies bring them in. The pacifier ban prompts Maggie to lead the other babies in a rebellion against Ms. Sinclair.
