Plot[edit]

A group of thugs are attacking a guy when Radioactive Man comes in and saves him. Later, at WZEN News, Gloria Grand is interviewing Dr. Swartzwelder about Radioactive Man. Dr. Swartzwelder thinks that Radioactive Man is just a shared delusion by the people of Zenith City, although Gloria Grand disagrees. After the interview, Claude Kane III asks Gloria out, but Gloria tells him that she's interviewing Claude Kane II, his father, shortly.

Meanwhile, on the U.S.S. Serendipity, Silly Sailor is trying to keep a group of criminals distracted with his jokes and tricks. However, this doesn't have much of an impact on them. The thugs take Mrs. Runtledge, the mother of Rod Runtledge, hostage. At WZEN News, Gloria's interview with Claude Kane II is cut short by the news of the hostage situation. Claude Kane III then runs off and changes into Radioactive Man to go and save the hostages. During the fight, Silly Sailor is knocked overboard. As Radioactive Man flies back to WZEN Tower, he sees Gloria Grand get knocked off her balcony. He saves her and the two fly around the city before he returns Gloria to WZEN Tower, where she falls asleep. Waking up, she is told that it must have been a dream.

Silly Sailor is drinking at a tavern when he is approached by several clowns. They take him to see Dr. Clownius. At the same time, Rod Runtledge gets trapped under an X-Ray truck and gains superpowers similar to those of Radioactive Man. Radioactive Man decides to train him. Dr. Clownius then reveals to all the other clowns that he is sick of clowns no longer being funny, and wants them to be feared instead. Silly Sailor agrees to take part in this plan.

Gloria Grand gets kidnapped by Silly Sailor and Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy go to save her. Silly Sailor uses a special gas to remove their powers then traps them in a cage. Fallout Boy manages to escape through the bars where he is then taken home by his mother. As Radioactive Man was about to get ht by a flood of sulfuric acid, Fallout Boy comes to his rescue and tells him that they've had their powers back for hours and the gas was only temporary. They then stop Silly Sailor and rescue Gloria.

Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy then go back to WZEN Tower to stop Dr. Swartzwelder from broadcasting harmful lies about Radioactive Man. They then unmask him to reveal him as Dr. Clownius. Dr. Clownius is arrested whilst Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy go on to their next adventure.
