He is best known as the [[Springfield|town's]] resident oddball, and has been immortalized for his non sequiturs and erratic behavior. Ralph is quite an enigma of a child. Upon first glance, one might mistake him for a child with dementia; or perhaps they might even look at him as a mentally challenged child. What is definite however, is that he suffers from learning disabilities of some sort, as evidenced by his apparently slow grasp of things in the world around him, his difficulty in studying, and his sporadic speech impediments. His unique manner of speech is often the source of the character's trademark random quotes, where Ralph may make a comment such as "What's a battle?", "It tastes like...burning!", or "[[Ned Flanders|Mr. Flanders]], you're blindeded!," as well as his tendency to call his [[Elizabeth Hoover|teacher]] "School Mommy" and on one occasion calling [[Superintendent Chalmers]] "Super Nintendo Chalmers" However, Ralph is also able to speak in a normal manner much of the time, which only adds to the question of his condition and character. He also appears to have several talents. He is an incredible tap dancer and played the role of [[George Washington]] in the school play. As Washington, he not only recited his lines perfectly but also managed to play the role so well that he brought the audience to tears.

Derren Brown is an English mentalist, illusionist, and writer.

Derren Brown went to Springfield to film A Derren Brown Christmas. He chose Springfield because there was no feeling of Christmas spirit in the town. So that he wouldn't reveal what he was really doing to the townspeople, he told Mayor Quimby and the people of Springfield that the town had won an award for being the "Christmasiest" Town in America, and he and Hark Media were there to film a documentary about it. After getting permission to film, Derren Brown focused on his first target, Gil Gunderson. Derren set up a stunt involving a baby carriage rolling down a hill toward Gil, who stopped it and supposedly saved the baby inside. However, the baby was placed in the carriage after it was stopped. Upon being told that he had saved the baby, Gil phoned his estranged wife Bonnie and was told he could spend Christmas with the family.

Derren Brown then targeted Homer, as Homer believed he was terrible at buying gifts for people. After hypnotizing Marge into giving permission to work on Homer, Derren Brown set his plan in motion. When Homer went to work the next day, he went to the vending machine where his favorite cupcakes had a festive makeover, with a picture of Santa Claus on the packet. Homer tried to buy them but was sucked into the vending machine and into a hidden room where Derren Brown hypnotized him. However, Homer proved difficult to hypnotize, as he was still focused on the cupcakes. Derren Brown placed the cupcake packet on his forehead to get Homer to pay attention and attempted to hypnotize Homer into believing he was good at buying gifts. However, seeing the picture of Santa Claus, Homer was hypnotized into thinking he was Santa. He then managed to get one of the cupcakes without Derren noticing...

"O C'mon All Ye Faithful" is the double length first Disney+ exclusive episode of The Simpsons and the seven hundred seventy-eighth and seven hundred seventy-ninth episode overall. It was released on Disney+ on December 17, 2024. The episode was written by Carolyn Omine and directed by Debbie Bruce Mahan and Matthew Faughnan. It guest stars Derren Brown as himself, Patti LaBelle as herself, and Pentatonix as the "World Famous Santa Claus" and "Local Springfield Santa Claus" singers.

Famed British mentalist, Derren Brown, comes to Springfield and uses psychological tricks and showmanship to raise the town's Christmas spirit. A Derren Brown Christmas is a Christmas documentary starring Derren Brown.

Derren Brown went to Springfield to film A Derren Brown Christmas. He chose Springfield because there was no feeling of Christmas spirit in the town. So that he wouldn't reveal what he was really doing to the townspeople, he told Mayor Quimby and the people of Springfield that the town had won an award for being the "Christmasiest" Town in America, and he and Hark Media were there to film a documentary about it. After getting permission to film, Derren Brown focused on his first target, Gil Gunderson. Derren set up a stunt involving a baby carriage rolling down a hill toward Gil, who stopped it and supposedly saved the baby inside. However, the baby was placed in the carriage after it was stopped. Upon being told that he had saved the baby, Gil phoned his estranged wife Bonnie and was told he could spend Christmas with the family...
