The Book That Ate Springfield! is a Bart Simpson story first printed in Bart Simpson #30.
Plot[edit]
Krusty asks the children to buy Larry Snotter and the School for Monsters on his TV show. This leads to Bart wanting the book, which surprises Lisa, who tells Homer he should buy it for Bart as Bart never likes book, and she also wants the book. Bart gets hold of the last copy of the book but can not be bothered to read it so he gives it Lisa. Bart goes to the playground where he discovers that all the kids are reading the book and no one has time to play with him, so he decides to get them to stop reading. He fails with his proposals but meets Ned, who lets Bart play with his kids, but Bart has no fun, so he goes home and watches Krusty, who only babbles about the book.
