The twenty-forth content update, known as the Squidport update, for The Simpsons: Tapped Out was released on June 12, 2013. It added the Squidport to the game. The Wiggum House was now classed as a house.

Gameplay

Squidport Pt. 1

After tapping on Homer's exclamation mark D'oh! What's wrong, Dad? Oh, that wasn't an annoyed "d'oh" -- I was just thinkg about "dough". Like the delicious fried dough they used to sell down at the waterfront. Get in the car, kids! We're going to the Squidport! Dad, remember? You blew up the town. There is no Squidport. D'oh! That one was an annoyed d'oh. I suppose we could rebuild the Squidport. It'd be nice to see our town finally sterch down to the water. Get in the car, kids! We're going to rebuild the Squidport! Nobody "gets in cars" anymore. We all just walk around aimlessly on the streets. D'oh! Which kind was that? Little of both. The player receives "Squidport Pt. 1" which is to "Have Beach Expansion" and "Have Water Expansion". The player receives total 100 and 10 in reward.

Squidport Pt. 2

Okay, water expansion bought! ...and it was surprisingly easy considering it's prime oceanfront property and all my money is fake. Great! Now can build the Squidport Entrance. You know what they say :"Every great building begings with the door!" Who says that? I dunno, building builders, I assume. The player receives "Squidport Pt. 2" which is to "Place Squidport Entrace". The player receives total 100 and 10 in reward.

Squidport Pt. 3

Mmm, fried dough. A plate-sized blob of wet flour, deep fried and covered with whipped cream... Ow! Chest pains! I need to exercise. By walking a short distance along the boardwalk to get to the Fried Dough Stand. The player receives "Squidport Pt. 3" which is to "Place Boardwalk Sections". The player receives total 100 and 10 in reward. Sign Place the boardwalk section and drag to create a boardwalk.

Squidport Pt. 4

Ah, the Squidport! Full of charming junkies and colorful runaways, attracetd by the smell of carnival food and shady merchants... Wait a minute! My Squidport doesn't have any of that! Dad? Is something wrong? No, Sweetie. Daddy just has to have a talk with some of his real estate partners. STUPID WATERFRONT! EMBARRASS ME IN FRONT OF THE JUNKIES AND RUNAWAYS! The player receives "Squidport Pt. 4" which is to "Make Homer Swear at the Ocean". It takes 12 hours. The player receives total 520 and 110 in reward.

The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 1

Uh-oh, did I blow another brain vessel? I think I'm hallucinating a house out there... in the ocean. No, it's real! It's some kind of house/boat hybrid! Hmmm, I wonder what you call that? The player receives "The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 1" which is to Place Sea Captain Houseboat". The player receives total 100 and 10 in reward. Place New Character

The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 2

After tapping on Sea Captain's exclamation mark Y'arr, who be doing all the squalling and cussing at the sea? Ye made me sailors blush. Seriosuly, some of them cried. Sorry, sometimes I have a potty mouth. Anyhoo, who the F@#& are you? Captain McCallister. Just let in from a long haul at sea. Been at Madagascar and at Malabar and spent half a hundred days floating 'round that giant garrrbage patch in the Pacific. Y'arr, that last one tweren't intentional. But sit ye down and have a yarn with the Captain. I'll tell of a ship that near went under, her belly laden with conterfeit Kindle Fires. Eh, I'm not really much of listening to people. Did I mention thar'd be rum by the bucketfull? Yarn away! Don't leave anything out! The player receives "The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 2" which is to "Make Sea Captain Tell a Tall Tale". It takes 4 hours. The player receives total 275 and 55 in reward.
