- The Fat-Cave is a parody of the Batcave from DC Comics. Among things seen in it are a giant penny and a statue of a T-Rex, both objects that are in the Batcave.
- Third Degree Burns has powers similar to the Human Torch from Marvel Comics.
- Comic Book Guy tells the Barts to pass through the Stormtroopers on their way into Evil Bart's Castle, a reference to Star Wars.
