The Simpsons: Virtual Springfield has 17 places that the player can visit. For travel to from a place to another place the player must walk around Springfield. To find the places the player can use a map and watch the compass. If the player has found all 75 cards they can use the Professor Frink's Navigation Transporter to transport themselves to a place.

Town Square[edit]
The Town Square is the place in the game where the player is placed when it start the game and there they get welcomed by Troy McClure.
Town Hall[edit]
The Town Hall is the work place of Mayor Quimby. In the middle drawer the player can find the key to Krusty's office at Krustylu Studios. Under the flag stand the player can find a card.
Retirement Castle[edit]
The Retirement Castle is the home of Grampa Simpson. To have access to the bottom of Grampa's dresser drawer the player must get a note from Bart's locker at Springfield Elementary School. In the bottom of Grampa's dresser drawer the player can find the Stonecutters ring that gives access to the Stonecutters. The player can find a card on top of the bookshelf.
Libary[edit]
The Public Library is the library in Springfield. Here the player can find a card in the trash, as well as read some books and watch some video films.
Church[edit]
The First Church is the church in Springfield. Here the player can find a card in the podium.
Cemetery[edit]
The Cemetery is the cemetery in Springfield. To have access to the telescope the player must read the e-mail from mprince@excel.edu in Principal Skinner's computer in his room at Springfield Elementary School.
Krustylu Studios[edit]
Krustylu Studios is the TV studio in Springfield. To have access to Krusty's office the player must find the key in the middle drawer at the Town Hall. Here the player can find a card under the Labor Laws poster in the lobby, by using the TV in Krusty's office and by looking behind the clipboard in the Control Room.
Moe's Tavern[edit]
Moe's Tavern is the local bar in Springfield. Here the player can find the key that gives access to Principal Skinner's room at Springfield Elementary School by looking in the pink box behind the bar desk in Moe's secret room, which opens when the player clicks on the cabinet and the player can find a card in the back next to a panda crate.
Aztec Theatre[edit]
The Aztec Theatre is the local cinema in Springfield. Here the player can watch a McBain movie.
Stone Cutters[edit]
The Stone Cutters are a secret club that have a location in Springfield. To gain access to the place the player must collect the Stonecutters ring from the bottom of Grampa's dresser drawer in the Retirement Castle. In the box behind the podium can the player found the key to the washroom at the Power Plant. Beside the podium the player can collect the Book of Possession, which makes Rod and Todd go crazy when the player visits their home.
Kwik-E-Mart[edit]
The Kwik-E-Mart is the convenience store in Springfield. The player can collect a card by clicking on the Sea Captain in the Chowder Chips stand. When the player clicks on the door behind Apu they start the mini game "Apoom".
