Plot[edit]
Principal Skinner inaugurates the Springfield Elementary Learning Annex, but Lisa points out that just it's a trailer, so Skinner explains it's a low cost solution to the overcrowding classroom. Bart tells Milhouse that he now sees a canvas, and that blank and lifeless edfice will soon be home to his masterpiece. Milhouse asks him if he means El Barto. A new kid in Bart's class, Brad, overhears and asks Bart if he is El Barto. When Bart finds out that Brad likes throwing rocks at the greenhouse, Captain Squid and Yogimon cards, he asks if he wants to come over to his house, which he does. Bart and Brad get on well together and Milhouse feels left out. Brad and Bart decide to make some "El Barto Action" and go to the school to spray at the new trailer, which is monitored by Groundskeeper Willie. Willie wakes up and starts chasing them, but they manage to escape after the spray paint sprays into the face of Willie. The next day Bart tells Milhouse what happened yesterday and he finds that someone has tagged "El Barto" on the trailer. Bart realizes that it is Brad and when he meets him, he has a completely new design; he looks just like Bart. Brad continues to imitate Bart and becomes the school's most popular guy and also becomes good friends with Lisa. The only one who hates him besides Bart is Santa's Little Helper.
That night Bart can't sleep, because he needs to find a way to stop Brad. He falls asleep and dreams that Brad is trying to kill him. The next day Bart is not himself anymore; he does not know who he is anymore. Bart decides to seek help from Skinner, and tells him that Brad painted the trailer. Skinner holds a meeting for the students to tell them that it was Brad who painted the trailer, but this causes Brad to become more popular. Bart decides after school to follow Brad, who sits in the backseat of a car. Brad makes a stop at the Kwik-E-Mart and Bart discovers that Apu let him buy a crate of Duff. Bart continues to follow Brad, but he loses him.
The next day at school Bart tries to ask Brad what he does after school and asks if he can come over, but Brad says no. Bart gets help from Martin, who installs a GPS transmitter in Brad's car, which is standing in the school's parking lot. After school, Bart follows Brad and discovers he lives in a cottage halfway to Shelbyville. Bart discovers that the garage door is open and goes into the house, and finds that it is a house built for kids; all the furniture is small. Brad discovers Bart and points a gun at him, and tells him he has not been a kid in twenty years and his name is Larry Baxter. Larry forces Bart to dig his own grave, and says he is wanted in six states for armed robbery, and now he can take Bart's place for good, because when Bart is missing, Marge will miss him so much that she will adopt him. Suddenly Santa's Little Helper comes and attacks Larry. Bart then uses the shovel to get Larry to pass out. The police come and Bart tells the truth about Larry, who is arrested immediately. Sideshow Bob has a new cellmate, Larry, and he really likes his looks. Back at the Simpsons, Milhouse is visiting and has started dressing as Bart, and Homer gets the two of them mixed up and strangles Milhouse instead of Bart.
