To Betroth a Foe! is a Radioactive Man comic story first printed in Radioactive Man 80pg. 1.

Plot[edit]

Claude Kane III is waiting outside Chief Hoolihan's office as Gloria Grand finishes her interview with him so he can take her out to dinner. He eavesdrops and hears him making a phone call where he says he needs Radioactive Man now. Claude decides to pay a visit to Hoolihan as Radioactive Man. Hoolihan tells him that he has received a threatening letter from Larva Girl, in which she blackmails him for the Zircona-Gems from the planet Remitrom or she will harm Fallout Boy, whom she has taken hostage. While Fallout Boy is trapped, Larva Girl tells him that she has sent Radioactive Man away to collect worthless gemstones, but because of molecular structure exposure of the planet's sun, he will come back and fall in love with her. Radioactive Man visits Bug Boy to find out how to get to the planet Remitrom. He tells him how to get there, but before Bug Boy has time to warn Radiaoctive Man, he is gone.

Radioactive Man flies to the planet and retrieves the Zircona Gems, but when he gives them to Larva Girl to release Fallout Boy he falls in love with her and he proposes to her. Fallout Boy tells him that he has been tricked into falling in love with her, but he tells him that he does not understand love. Just before they are married, Gloria Grand stops the wedding and asks Larva Girl if she can kiss him one more time before he gets married, which she accepts. After Radioactive Man is kissed, he is no longer in love with Larva Girl. She then takes Gloria Grand hostage, but Radioactive Dog bites her in the butt so she loses control, and Radioactive Man and his friends manage to seize her and her friends.

Bug Boy tells them why Radioactive Man ended up falling in love with her: he made an antidote, which he placed in a lipstick that he gave to Gloria. Then they go and eat the wedding dinner so the food will not go to waste.
