Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy is at the opening of The Radioactive Museum, where Radioactive Man sees that they had the first issue of his comic, he went to Fallout Boy and asked if he remembered his so-called origin-story but the publishers have gotten it wrong. Fallout Boy then asks him to tell the truth and he does.

Claude Kane III was ten years old when a radioactive cylinder struck him right between the eyes and blinding him. He was rushed to the hospital for radiation burns and got a knot on the forehead and a few years later when he was a teenager he want on a field trip to a science lab where he was bitten by a cockroach that had absorbed a fanastic amount of radioactivity. He was rushed to the hospital and got treated for radiation poisoning and bug bite. Later when he still was a young man, his dad forced him to take a gopher job at his research lab when a one-in-a-million freak accident gave him a lighting-charged chemical bath. He was rushed to the hospital and treated for chemical burns and electrocution. So after the bandages came off he decied to do a little clubbing. When he dancing at a night club with Gloria Grand he eavesdropped on two guys which danced and talked about and one of them has just received their orders and are clear to deliver the money to the russian guy, Krabokov, he has taken plutonium that his has stolen from Dr. Kane's lab and made a bomb to them. Kane remembers then that he must deliver a corned beef sandwich with russian dressing to his father's lab, and he leave Grand and go to his roadster and headed for his father's lab but in the desert but he ran out of gas and his cell phone was broken so he couln't call for help. Meanwhile at the laboratory of Dr. Vladmir Krabokov, known as Dr. Crab, the two men give him the money and ask Krabokov that he should give them their sutitcase bomb. Krabokov showed them the bomb which is in a suitcase that looks the same as the suitcase with the money. They want him to arm the bomb temporarily so he can prove that it works. Krabokov does it while the men go to the door after someone rings the doorbell, but it turns out to be a girl scout selling cookies.

One tasty transaction later, they are ready to leave and Krabokov has received his money and the men deploy their bomb. Krabokov starts to pack, and he is on his way back to Russia. Meanwhile he leaves Kane in the car and start to walk in the desert, meanwhille flying Krabokov in an airplane above him, he takes a look in his suitcase and discovered that he got the bomb and not the money and forgot to disarm it. He throws out the suitcase with the bomb to Kane who thinks they are dropping provisions to him, but the bag explodes instead and When the blast cleared he realized at he had taken a point blank nuclear explosion and survived, he also now has a flash in his head. Radioactive Man spoke to Fallout Boy that just because of his breeding run-ins with radiation and chemicals, he must developed immunity to the harmful effects of the blast, deprecated he absored only the pure, clean engery of the atom and that's how Radioactive Man was born. Fallout Boy wonders how the comic could get it so wrong, he tells them that they don't know that he is Claude Kane III and he guesses the comic is pretty accurate. Fallout Boy sighs and tell him that he can't belive that he's the hero and Fallout Boy's the sidekick.
