Cultural references[edit]

Trivia[edit]

  • Despite Dr. Hibbert saying that Bart will need stitches for his head wound, neither the stitches nor the wound itself are ever seen, even though Bart is bald during the whole comic.
  • Ned's birthmark is shown to be on his right arm, and Todd's is apparently on his "tushie".
  • Ned almost always calls Bart by his full name, Bartholomew.
  • The words "tushie" and "bites" are both words that Ned says are not spoken in his house.
  • Interestingly enough, there are no pictures of Maude seen in any of the interior shots of Ned's house.
  • According to Bart, The Krusty the Clown Show is broadcast at 7:30 p.m..
  • One of the three pictures in Ned's bathroom is crooked.

Continuity[edit]

  • Bart rides a scooter off the roof of his house, saying that it has to be easier to ride than his skateboard, a reference to the episode "Bart the Daredevil".
  • Ned's bathroom previously had a crooked picture in "Marge in Chains".
  • Todd and Bart laugh at Ned for using the word "bites". In Flanders' Book of Faith during a dream sequence, both Rod and Todd criticize Ned for saying "thy master", which sounded like "thighmaster", a "Neddy No-No" word.

Goofs[edit]

  • Despite the fact that Dr. Hibbert is shown cutting Bart's hair, no hair is seen on the medical table or floor.
  • Homer pushes his family out of the hospital room before Dr. Hibbert gives Bart his stitches.
  • Ned tells Bart that they don't eat meat, potatoes or cheese at his house, even though Ned has been seen eating these foods on many occasions.
