House of a Thousand Donuts is a Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror story first printed in Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror #10.
Synopsis[edit]
- On a tour of backwoods diners, the Simpsons find their way to Doc Satan's House of 1000 Donuts, which hides a sinister secret in its basement.
Plot[edit]
The Simpsons are driving along backwoods roads on a tour of backwoods diners, which Lisa says is their worst vacation ever. They pass by several hitchhikers, including Mexican wrestler El Superbeasto and one-time Academy Award nominated actress Karen Black, but don't stop to pick them up as there's not enough room in the car. They then come across Captain Krusty's Museum of Monsters-Madmen and decide to stop there because a sign says there's fried chicken available. The family enters the museum and is surprised to find Krusty hosting it himself. Krusty tells them that he won the place in a poker game, but it doesn't make enough money to hire employees, so he, Sideshow Mel, and Mr. Teeny have to run it themselves. Krusty makes Mr. Teeny drop a knife he picked up, which he does when he drinks vodka. Homer asks about the fried chicken, and Krusty tells him they get the fried chicken after the ride. So, the Simpsons get on the ride featuring some of history's greatest monsters, both real and fictional. Before they finish the ride, Homer sees an advertisement for Doc Satan's House of 1000 Donuts and the family leaves to go there instead, forgetting to pay for the ride.
The family passes more hitchhikers, but still refuses to pick any up, even when Brandine tells them she's going to the same place they are. Finally, they find the House of 1000 Donuts and knock on the door, only to be greeted by Karen Black. Karen is annoyed at the Simpsons having driven past her, but tells them that her sons, Cletus and Barney, picked her up instead, and Homer is surprised to hear that Karen Black is Barney's mother. As Karen starts to give the tour, Homer quickly eats most of the donuts on display. Karen tells her sons to take the family downstairs to meet Dr. Satan, and the building is renamed to Doc Satan's House of Thirty-Seven Donuts.
In the laboratory basement, Homer is locked in a cage, Bart and Lisa are dangled above a tank of donut-fish, Maggie is left on a table, and Marge is strapped to an operating table. Dr. Satan reveals to the family that he has been transplanting human brains into his donut zombies to create minions who serve him. He then fills the human heads with jelly, turning them into obedient minions too. As he goes to cut Marge open, he realizes that Marge isn't scared. Marge tells him that she knows Homer will break out and eat all of his zombie donut people and save them. However, Homer tells her that he's still too full from eating the donuts in the museum. As the Simpsons resign themselves to their fate, Mr. Teeny breaks into the basement with a chainsaw and attacks Dr. Satan and his minions, killing them all.
As they leave the building, everybody realizes that they actually enjoyed the vacation, except Lisa, who didn't do anything that she wanted to do. Krusty then pulls up in his car and asks if they've seen Mr. Teeny. After telling him about what Mr. Teeny did, Krusty decides to keep driving, but asks if anybody wants to go to "The House of a Thousand Vegetarian Feminist Jazz Musicians" in San Francisco with him. Lisa wants to go, so the Simpsons get in Krusty's car. Krusty remembers that the Simpsons never paid for their ride ticket, so he pulls out a knife to stab Homer.
