Hooray for President's Day was a Presidents' Day pageant held at Springfield Elementary School.

History[edit]

At the refreshment stand, Principal Skinner instructs Groundskeeper Willie to water down the orange drink even more, in an attempt to recoup their losses from the Fire Drill Follies.

The Presidents' Day pageant begins, hosted by Principal Skinner. The show starts with a parade of lesser-known presidents, including Chester A. Arthur, Millard Fillmore (played by Richard), William Henry Harrison, Rutherford B. Hayes, Zachary Taylor (played by Rod Flanders), and John Tyler, singing a song.

The second act is a reenactment of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, played by Milhouse, at the hands of John Wilkes Booth, played by Bart, at Ford's Theatre. Bart then goes after Chester A. Arthur before being yanked off the stage by Miss Hoover.

The final act is a detailed retelling of the life of George Washington, played by Ralph, with Martha Washington played by Lisa. The assistants at the event were moved by Ralph's performance. The emotional death scene concludes, and the show wraps up with a singing Mount Rushmore.
