Guardian Snow Angel is a The Simpsons Winter Wingding story first printed in The Simpsons Winter Wingding #6.

Synopsis[edit]

Bart thinks that he can get rich quick by watching Moe's parking spot in the snow, but it turns out to be much more work than he initially thought.

Plot[edit]

Springfield has had heavy snow, resulting in three feet of snow covering the town. Bart wants to get ten more dollars so he can afford the Ultra-Deluxe Lightweight Aluminum Super Sled from Blammo. A man offers Bart ten dollars to shovel out his car, but Bart refuses because it's too much work. As Bart walks past Moe's Tavern, he sees Barney outside, having cleared the snow from Moe's parking space. Bart asks how Barney managed it, and he shows Bart that he does it by burping, which melts the snow. Moe gives Barney a free beer for his work and asks Bart to watch his parking space for ten dollars while he drives to Shelbyville to pick up pretzel sticks. Thinking this will be an easy job, Bart agrees to it.

While Bart thinks about a potential get-rich-quick scheme if he was to team up with Barney, Agnes Skinner pulls up in her car and wants to park in the space. Bart tells her that it's reserved for Moe, but she tells Bart to get lost and tries to park there anyway. Bart then tells her that he was actually saving the space for Fat Tony, who happens to be nearby. Agnes drives away because she doesn't want to mess with the mob. Fat Tony gives a girl money for clearing his car off and drives off, leaving behind a beach chair with a note pinned to it saying no trespassing or stealing. Bart decides to take the chair to Moe's spot and sits in it, but is then pelted by snowballs from the bullies.

Barney leaves Moe's as Fat Tony returns to his spot and he grabs the chair from Bart and tells him that he'll be watching him. Bart realizes that he should have asked for more money for the job as Barney plows snow into Moe's parking spot with the Plow King. Bart starts clearing the snow, realizing that this job has become a lot more work for him than he thought. A dump truck then dumps a large pile of snow in Moe's spot. Bart decides that Moe can use the dump truck's spot, but realizes that he needs to pee. He builds a snowman in the spot to protect it and runs to the toilet. However, when he gets back, he finds Mr. Burns has parked his limo in the spot. Bart removes the no parking sign from the other side of the street and puts it on the post next to Burns' limo, getting it towed.

Moe finally returns to his bar and finds that his parking spot is covered in snow. Bart tells him that he can use the other spot he saved, but Moe tells him that the deal was to save his space, and all Bart had to do was stand there. He then tells Bart to take the no parking sign down as it doesn't belong there. Bart says that he'll do it in the spring as he walks away.
