Cthulhu? Gesundheit! is a Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror comic story first printed in The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror #19.

Plot[edit]

Principal Skinner has found a perfect punishment for Bart after the latter sets the cafeteria ablaze with flaming tater tots. Milhouse must also take the same punishment because Skinner just doesn't like him. He takes them to the school's basement and an abandoned library, which they must clean up and put the books in order. Bart and Milhouse reluctantly start on their tasks.

They find an interesting book and escape from the basement. Bart goes home and starts reading the book. The book contains formulas, so Bart tries one to get revenge on Skinner. Bart and Milhouse get tired of the book soon and walks away. Homer is in the bathroom and is about to wash his hands when the water stops flowing. Homer escapes the room, because a green monster is coming out of the tap. Bart and Milhouse have been to the Kwik-E-Mart when the bullies ask for their lunch money. Bart will not give them the money and says he has new friends, and a monster comes up from the sewers and takes care of the bullies.

Bart and Milhouse proceed to go to Skinner, who is surprised to see them because there is no way they could be finished in the basement. Bart tells Skinner that he is very powerful now, but Skinner laughs at him. Bart says a magic spell and Springfield becomes overrun by monsters that begin to eat up the inhabitants of Springfield, while Bart and Milhouse run home to look in the book for a formula to stop the monsters. When they get home, Santa's Little Helper has the book in his mouth and they try to dislodge it, but he starts to eat it and turns into a monster. Bart is frightened by what he has done just before a monster beats him down. Bart wakes up to eat breakfast, but in the kitchen we see that the family have turned into monsters and they are going to eat Milhouse. Bart promises that he will never read another book.
