- Ox-O-Clean is a parody of Oxy Clean.
- Wifetime is a parody of Lifetime
- While flipping through channels, Homer and Bart come across a television show starring Markie Post.
- The show, titled Death of a Non-Gender-Specific Sales Associate, is a parody of the play Death of a Salesman.
- Clowns Gone Wild! is a parody of Girls Gone Wild
- During the video's commercial, a parody of the song "Bad Boys" plays, containing the lyrics "bad clowns-bad clown, whatcha gonna do".
- Comic Book Guy's store has a Superman II movie poster in the window.

- The Singer then mistakes Bart for Kenny Rogers.

- Yet another tells "Kenny" that she's seen all his Gambler pictures.
- After being encouraged by the seniors, Bart sings "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town".
- The seniors then mistake Milhouse for Marvin Hamlisch.
- When throwing money at Bart, one of the seniors says "Brother, I can spare a dime", a reference to the song "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?"

Continuity[edit]
- Bart uses some of Homer's Dimoxinil to grow a beard. Homer used it to grow hair in "Simpson and Delilah".
