The Beer Boys is a comic story featured in Simpsons Comics #53. The comic later got reprinted in Simpsons Comics Belly Buster and Simpsons Classics #27.
Plot
Moe ends up in hospital with gallstones, however he cannot afford to close his bar during his stay. Homer, Barney, Lenny and Carl decide to run the bar in his absence. They enjoy bartending so much that when Moe returns they decide to set up their own bar. The new bar, The Beer Boys, is more high-class than Moe's, quickly attracting wealthier townspeople.
Moe asks Homer to shut the place down but he refuses while Barney is more easily persuaded with the offer of two-for-one beers. Moe threatens Lenny and Carl with an attack from the Springfield Mafia unless they quit, leaving Homer and his family in charge of The Beer Boys.
