He then founded Powell Motors, a car company based in Detroit. Herb was overjoyed to learn that he had a birth family and bonded with his nieces and nephew, and - in his role as CEO - allowed Homer to design a car. However, Homer's car was a failure and it bankrupted the company. Herb ended up becoming a street vagrant. He prefers to be called "Unky Herb" by his nieces and nephew, because he thinks the term "uncle" is too formal.

After Lisa became addicted to listening to Quilloughby and The Snuffs, she tried to change the Springfield Elementary School lunch menu to include vegan mushroom tacos. However, after eating some, she found out that it contained bacon. When she rushed home, she begun to imagine Quilloughby. Lisa quickly bonded with her new imaginary friend who had a lot in common with her.

Quilloughby would tell Lisa what to say to other people to hurt them. Quilloughby told Lisa what to tell Bart to ruin him, with just one sentence. Afterwards, Quilloughby wanted to get out of the house as he was bored, so Lisa took him around town, where Quilloughby mocked everyone he saw. This entertained Lisa and then Quilloughby and Lisa started to sing "Everyone Is Horrid Except Me (and Possibly You)".
