Fund-Razing is a Bart Simpson story that appears in Bart Simpson #76.

Synopsis

Bart and Lisa must resort to sabotage when their classmates are misled into believing that there's easy money to be had in their most recent school fundraiser.

Gil presents for the school at in Springfield Elementary School how they should raise money for school this year. Gil tells the students that they are going to sell Nutty Fun Time Peanut Brittle and he tell them that the best sellers will receive prizes depending on how much they sell. Selling the five boxes, they get a Scratch-And-Sniff stickers, ten boxes a stick that dosen't smell. Twenty boxes gives a glossy 8x10 photograph signed by Marvin Kalb and fifty boxes ten thousand dollars in cash. The last was not said by Gil, it was by Bart, Gil tries to explain that he did not say it but the students do not listen to him and becoming eager to sells the boxes. The students begin to fight over sale most boxes, and Bart is happy with what he's done. Outside of the school is Gil and crying he can not afford the $10,000, he was planned to given a subscription to Amish Surfers magazine. Lisa discovers that Gil is sad and understand that Bart is behind the rumor.

Lisa trying to Bart will understand at he must help her stop the kids from selling 50 boxes but he refuses until she points out that they have to destroy a lot of stuff to handle the task. Bart begins to stop Martin Prince, Jr. from selling a package to Ned by knocking him out with his slingshot and then jump on the boxes with he is knocked out. He then wet down Sherri and Terri and their boxes. Lisa gets Moe to not buying cakes from Milhouse because she tell him they contain organic legumes. Lisa sees then that the school bully is also trying to sell boxes and trying to stop them but fails. Sherri, Terri and Martin tell the bullies what the Simpson has done for them too. Bart will then running to them and explain that if they manage to sell all the cookies, the school will been open for six days and removing the summer vacation. The rumor begins to spread, and all students begin destroying their boxes and litter the entire Springfield. This sale is over after a few days and it turns out to be the worst sales ever. Skinner is not happy on Gil for he failed. Meanwhile are the students forced to clean up the debris as they spread across the city.
