Drinker, Failure, Bowler, Spy is a Simpsons Comics story that appears in Simpsons Comics #220.

Synopsis

"Ever need a place where you can find a sympathetic ear, get some friendly advice, and perhaps share an evening with friends while enjoying a lovingly prepared libation – or do you just end up at Moe’s Tavern. Well, there’s a new mixologist in town, Ned Flanders, and he’s serving up a fermented microbrew that may very well foment an unfortunate face-off. Enter Homer Simpson, who finds himself in the middle of it all-between a PO’d Moe and his holier-than-everyone else neighborino."

Moe is banning Homer for life from Moe's Tavern, all because by Ned Flanders one week ago. Ned was visiting Homer and he follow him to Moe's. After Ned testing Moe's house specialty, watered-down Duff he starting to complaining about the place for Moe and all the barflies except Homer agrees. The next day open Ned his own bar Ned's on the other side of the street. Moe's barfly like Ned's more, but do not want to be disloyal to Moe so they tell why Ned's is better than his bar. Moe is trying to do his bar better than Ned's and using his secret weapon, the karaoke machine but they do not helping and the barfly except Homer decides to leave Moe's for Ned's. Moe trying to think about how he can get back his customers and after he failed spying at Ned's he let Homer visit Ned's for giving them bad rumor. Moe and Homer pretending that he is banned for life from Moe's so he can visit Ned's instead. Homer like Ned's bar better than Moe's and forgets giving him a bad rumor. When he later remember his mission he find out Ned's plans for the future.

Homer telling about Ned's for Moe and he has a Hawaiian night just like Ned to attract customers. The themed evening is a fiasco for Moe's and Ned's only get more popular so Homer visits him instead of Moe. Homer finds out that Ned named a beer after him, Homerbrau which make him feeling guilted for trying to destroy the bar for Ned. When Homer learns that Moe is going to plant hungry raccoons in Ned's, he tells it to Ned. Moe finds out that Homer revealed the planners for Ned which does not make him happy. Homer tell him why Ned is better than Moe, he treat every human like they should. Moe realizes he must change his attytid and Homer gives him a tip to Moe about how he can close Ned's. With the help of the karaoke machine he make Ned think he gets a message from God that Moe will be a better person and he can close his bar which he does. Moe get back his barfly and he promises to treat them better and will selling the rest of Ned's Homerbrau which he bought up.
