On an ordinary day in school, Lisa attempts to make friends with a new girl, Francine, but Francine beats up Lisa severely. Even attempting to share an interest in [[Malibu Stacy]] does not work when Francine stole and ruined her Malibu Stacy doll. Lisa goes to the school bullies to beat up Francine, but they do not beat girls in fear that they will fall in love with her. It is up to Lisa to investigate the reason why Francine is beating her. She does scientific research on [[nerd]]s, and finds out that the odour of the mixture of chemicals, [[asthma]] spray, and pencil shavings that attracts bullies like her. Lisa invents an antidote using salad dressing, which she believes is a smell bullies cannot stand, tests it on [[Drederick Tatum]] when he visits [[Springfield Elementary School|Springfield Elementary]], which causes Nelson to him beat up, then, since Tatum is so stong, begs for his life for Tatum not to kill him. Lisa uses it on Francine at [[Professor Frink]]'s science contest, the "12th Annual Big Science Thing", which she wins. But at the end, Francine goes on a rampage beating up all the scientists in the room.

Synopsis[edit]

"Lisa's attempts to befriend a new student at Springfield Elementary result in constant bullying, leading her on a crusade to find out just what makes bullies tick."

Main plot[edit]

A new kid named Francine Rhenquist comes to school and she is very shy, so Lisa decides to talk to her, but is beaten up. Lisa continually tries to find methods to become the new girl's friend, but is always beaten up. Lisa then tries to enlist the aid of the other bullies, but they refuse to beat up a girl. Lisa wonders why Francine only picks on the geeks and nerds, a question to which Nelson can provide no answer.

Lisa asks Groundskeeper Willie if she could see the schools security tapes for any clues. She notices that Francine seems to know where Lisa is, and sometimes doesn't attack her at all. Wendell then pukes and Willie leaves to take care of it. Lisa realises that Francine was nice to her because the girl had nose plugs in. Francine then enters the room and beats her up. Willie then gives a thumbs up at the camera.
