When Bart starts to care for two eggs from a bird he killed, he watches Birds: Our Fine Feathered Colleagues. In the film, Troy McClure introduces himself and mentions that viewers may remember him from such nature films as Earwigs, Ew!, and "Man Versus Nature: The Road To Victory". He says that in all the animal kingdom, there is no mother more devoted than the blue jay.
