Bart's Junior Camper Demerit Badge Manual is a Simpsons Comics story that first appeared in Bart Simpson #15. The story was later reprinted in the Big Beefy Book of Bart Simpson and Simpsons Comics Treasure Trove #4.

Synopsis

Bart presents his own take on earning Junior Camper merit badges.

Plot

Bart tells his fellow Junior Campers that it's time for advancement, which means earning merit badges. "But be prepared to have fun", he says, "when you earn your badges the Bart Simpson way!"

  • Marksmanship: Bart knocks a toupée off of Principal Skinner's head with a carefully-aimed stone from his slingshot.
  • Knot Tying: Bart ties Martin's shoelaces togther; then he and his classmates laugh when Martin gets up from his desk and falls down.
  • Citizenship: Bart walks Agnes Skinner down the street, but has her placed so that she's walking in wet cement, much to the dismay of some nearby construction workers.
  • Camping: Bart and Milhouse camp out in Bart's backyard. While burgers cook on the grill, Bart is sitting in a lawn chair with a fan blowing over him, playing video games and drinking a Squishee. Meanwhile, Milhouse is in the tent getting a back rub from a bikini-clad blonde. Ned Flanders, peering over the fence, is shocked as he takes in the scene.
  • Woodworking: Bart whittles a piece of steak, a chicken leg, a cupcake and a couple of donuts out of blocks of wood. Then he watches and laughs as Homer tries to eat the wooden food items and ends up breaking his teeth.
