Comic Book Guy: This is no fantasy... no careless product of wild imagination! No, sir... the craftsmanship alone of this Lure Lass action figure makes it quite the desirable collectible!
Customer: Hmm! What kind of batteries are needed to light the il-lure-minating breastplates?
Comic Book Guy: Double D, if you must know--

Comic Book Guy: This is Radioactive Man #100. It is well-worn and well below the "overboard price guides" grade of "good"—But it is up here for a reason. You see, this was the very first issue of "Radioactive Man" I ever read. It was a Spring day in 1963. I was eight years old... My mother took me into a Gardner's Pharmacy to fill a prescription. I couldn't help but be drawn to the brightly colored comics in the spinner rack! And it was this particular issue in which I invested my mother's 12 cents—and what an event I serendipitously happened upon! A centennial celebration of a character who not only thrilled the young with his heroism—but inspired a new generation to enter the comic book industry! Fans grew up to become professionals, to be part of this fabulous art form. And we took a mass medium and made it what it is today—a subculture.

Zenith City mayor: The city planners say it'll take at least 37 years—that would be the year 2000! We'll be flying to work with jet packs by then, eh?

Man 1: Great Scott! A robot was in the time capsule—dressed as a cowboy, using a pair of six-guns to shoot his way out!
Shootin' Irons: Ah wants Radioactive Man!
Man 1: The robot's demanding Radioactive Man while it stands on the museum steps twirling its--
Man 2: We get it! We get it! We're not blind, you know!!

Anderson: Mr. Mayor! This is serious! Think of the damage this will do... Miss Zenith is half your age! You've got to stop being seen with her! It could wreck your political career!
Zenith City mayor: Quiet, Anderson! I've got other concerns—like that pistol-packing robot! I need Radioactive Man!

Captain Squid: A robot who's supposed to be from 100 years ago is out looking for Radioactive Man... And RM is nowhere to be found!
Bug Boy: I can understand your concern, Captain Squid, but there's no need for you to continue the exposition...

Radioactive Ape: Sorry, Fallout Boy! Radioactive Man's not here in Simian City! Look, I've got an emergency meeting of the Secret Society of Super-Simians—the banana thief was released from jail today—he's out on appeal!

Fallout Boy: Claude? it's me—Fallout Boy!! We've been looking all over for you! What do you mean "Why didn't anyone call"? No one had the unlisted number of the Containment Dome! It's a good thing you left the number on the fridge! Let me tell you what's been going on—and do me a favor? Next time you wanna take a few days off, let me know!

Dr. Broome: Y'know, I've been wondering where that robot came from. Are you sure you didn't send it into the past for me, Dr. Crab?
Dr. Crab: I've told you vun hundred times, Dr. Broome! It vasn't me! Ask Brain-O—Maybe it vas him--
