Locked in a Brewery is a The Simpsons Summer Shindig comic story first printed in Simpsons Summer Shindig #6.

Plot[edit]

Homer and Barney go on a guided tour of the Duff Brewery, where they wander off and walk into the room where new Duff products are brewed. Duffman and Howard K. Duff go past the door to the room and when they see that it's open, they close it, unaware that Homer and Barney are in there. Several hours later, Homer and Barney have become drunk, and when they come out, they discover that they are alone in the factory. Barney and Homer begin to have fun in the factory but it isn't long before Legs and Louie come to the factory to find the formula for the new Duff. Alarmed, Barney and Homer decide that they must stop them somehow, and they try to call Duffman by pouring Duff Beer onto a headlight on the roof of the factory.

Duffman's first plan is to throw a barrel of Duff on them, but he misses. He starts to use the fire hose used to make Duff against them, but all the alcohol in the factory makes the fire uncontrollable. So they give up the idea when Legs and Louie catch them and point a gun at them. Legs and Louie open the file with the new Duff's secret formula, and it turns out to be exactly the same as it is now. Duffman tells them, "Why change something that is a success?" Legs and Louie then claim that they haven't had any new clients since Clinton. Duffman tells them that they still have their loyal customers. The police come in and arrest Legs and Louie after the silent alarm went off several hours ago. Howard K. Duff then comes in and asked what happened. Duffman tells him that thanks to Homer and Barney, they stopped Legs and Louie from stealing the formula. He gives them a special reward, a guided tour of the Duff Brewery, which Homer and Barney really appreciate.
